Why you might need to disconnect your gas supply.

The main reason for domestic and commercial customers are:

The demolition of a property,
or redevelopment of a property.

WHAT YOU NEED TO CONSIDER
You must get permission from the owner of the property.

DS Gas can arrange for the disconnection of a service.

DS Gas can arrange for the removal of the meter by either the gas supplier or the meter asset manager who maintains the meter.

The aim would be to cut off the service close to the gas main (usually in the street outside) or just inside your property boundary.

There will be a requirement for excavation on the disconnection and 1Gas can arrange this alongside the reinstatement of the land at the end of the project.

It can take 6-8 weeks due to consents being served to local councils for road closures and traffic management.
